East Africans in the diaspora have come together with  a group of strong-willed East Africans across the globe and made the decision to move forward and create a safe environment for any East Africans who ventures to return home. In the process, their endeavor became one of creating an aura of order and tranquility in a hitherto unpredictable environment.

East Africans have always gone abroad to work and study, but with one mission: to return home and build their nation. They always want to make a difference, not just for themselves and their families, but for those that live in East African permanently.

HOUSE-4.jpgBy creating a supra-national development agenda that encompasses a humanitarian aspect, Serengeti International Group (SIG), has now made it possible to return home. With the motto “Homeward Bound, Together.”  their strategy involves creating the kind of environment that East Africans yearn for when they leave for abroad; with the type of services that many abroad take for granted and with a very strong sense of responsibility for the region they live in, so that the immediate area benefits directly from this new settlement.

The strategy is also engulfed in a corrupt-free approach to living with a clear respect and maintenance of the rule of law.

Now, in 2013 and beyond, thousands of East Africans under the Serengeti banner, prepare to embark of a project that would pull them together in unity as they strive to achieve to not only fulfill their dreams, but to create enclaves across Eastern Africa that are void of partisan politics, high prices, manipulation and intimidation by unscrupulous financiers and politicians. Indeed, it is a no nonsense agenda.

“I sent money to my family to build me house for me. I trusted my relatives. They periodically sent me pictures to show progress.  On returning home in East Africa, the photos I was sent did not match any house. There was only a foundation. I had been conned…. by my own family. Now I see the light with Serengeti”
